Previously, the W Miami or also referred to as the W Miami Brickell was known as the Hotel Viceroy Miami. Food & Wine named Viceroy Miami one of its top U.S. hotel experiences in 2010, while Condé Nast Traveler declared that it represents a new era for Miami hospitality.
The W Miami is located at the northern gateway to Brickell Avenue in Brickell, which is sometimes called Miami’s Wall Street since this the center of business and finance of this vibrant international city. This ideal location caters to not only the tourist but also the business traveler. This Four Star Miami boutique hotel is also centrally located near the city’s many distinctive neighborhoods, cultural institutions, sporting venues and area attractions.
According to Wikipedia the W Miami was acquired in 2016 by
Qatari hospitality investment firm Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Al Faisal Holding. [3] Following the sale, the hotel was rebranded from Viceroy to W Miami.
Besides the W South Beach and the W Fort Lauderdale, the W Miami is the third hotel in the W hotel collection in South Florida.

The 28,000-square-foot spa and fitness center at the W Hotel was designed by Philippe Starck, who packs punches of color and lots of his signature whimsy, like neon chandeliers and modern white furniture. Views of Biscayne Bay and a 5,000-square-foot water lounge with gorgeous plunge pools (both hot and cold) give the space an exotic vibe. Treatments work with the healing powers of Swiss glacial spring water, medical grade collagen, lemongrass, bergamot and chamomile oils. They range from the black lava scrub and massage to facials, hand treatments and LED light therapy.
Another top spa in the Miami Brickell area, which is also called the financial district of Miami is the Mandarin Oriental Miami Spa
If you should go on a cruise out from the Miami Port, this hotel is a great choice. It is not far from the port (approx. 5 minutes) and the Brickell location is perfect for a vibrant lively experience in Miami.
